Kyrgyzstan cement production grows by 30%

According to the data of National Statistics Committee of KR, the growth rate of cement production in Kyrgyzstan in January-July 2010 was 30%.

However, according to a number of suppliers, the only producer of cement in Kyrgyzstan JSC "Kant Cement" after the closure of borders with Kazakhstan began to experience difficulties with the supply of raw materials, which it was importing from neighboring country and that immediately affected the volume and price of cement.

As of August 11, the cost of cement was 300-330 soms (US$6.52-7.17) per 50kg or 0.05t. The cost of 1t of cement is 6,000-6,600 soms (US$130-140). In 2009 the average price of 5kg of cement was 250 soms ($ 5.43).
