11 August 2010

Cementos Argos President Jose Alberto Velez, expected to close the year with further growth in sales due to increased cement demand for infrastructure and building more housing.

To Vélez, this development allows to readjust the indicators of the company, which had lower revenues in the first half because it had sold assets in the coal sector.

According to reports by Cementos Argos, so far this year in Colombia contracts have been awarded for about 3.8 million cubic meters of concrete to be despatched over the next 24-36 months. Based on these contracts, the company expects an exponential increase in sales for the next three years.
