Holcim’s ACC & Ambuja: mixed monthly results
Holcim’s two Indian cement interests have reported mixed results for June.
ACC Ltd, India’s No 2 producer, said on Thursday shipments in June fell 1.7 per cent from a year earlier to 1.78Mt. Production in May was down at 1.78Mt from 1.82Mt a year ago. Holcim holds more than 46 per cent in the company.
Meanwhile, Ambuja Cements Ltd, India’s No. 3 cement maker, reported shipments in June rose 6.2 per cent from a year ago to 1.69Mt. The company, in which Holcim holds about 46 per cent, said production in June rose to 1.7Mt from 1.6Mt a year earlier. Published under Cement News
