Semen Tonasa meets with competition commission

The Board of Directors and a number of Semen Tonasa representatives have met with Indonesia’s competition supervisory commission, the Komisi Pengawas Persaingan Usaha (KPPU), to answer questions of suspected cartel behaviour among Indonesian producers.

Abdul Rachmat Noer, head of marketing at Semen Tonasa, said the company says that it hopes to prove in front of the inspection team, that as a state-owned enterprise it did not engage in such cartel practices which would negatively affect the public.
