Brazil monthly sales up 20.6 per cent YoY
Preliminary results released by the industry and market estimates indicate that cement sales in Brazil for March 2010 reached 5.1Mt – up 20.6 per cent over the same month last year.
In the quarter January-March 2010, 13.6Mt of cement were sold, translating into a YoY rise of 15.7 per cent compared to the same quarter in 2009.
Cumulative sales over the last 12 months (April 2009 to March 2010) reached 53.1Mt showing an increase of 3.2 per cent over the previous period (April 2008 – March 2009).
