Italcementi Italgen unit buys Bulgarian wind farms
Italgen, the electricity arm of the Italcementi Group, has purchased 49 per cent of Gardawind from the Leitwind (Leitner Group) which includes two wind farms with a capacity of 9 MW each, one of which is already ’operational, and one currently under construction. The move falls under the development guidelines set by Italgen’s strategic plan, which aims to strengthen the company efforts in the renewable energy sector.
The first Kavarna wind farm put into operation by Leitwind in September 2009. Published under Cement News
