PCA recognises cement terminals’ safety records

On April 27, the Portland Cement Association (PCA) recognized ten cement distribution terminals with the best safety records in North America at PCA’s Spring Meeting in Chicago.

For U.S. operations, three categories with three winners each achieved this prestigious award.

The terminals honoured were:
Lafarge North America Inc., Pittsburgh, Pa.– Less than 5000 employee hours
St. Marys Cement Inc. (US)/VNCA, Toledo, Ohio – Less than 5000 employee hours
Essroc Cement Corp., Palmer, Mass.– Less than 5000 employee hours
Lehigh Cement Company, Doraville, Ga.–5000 to 9000 employee hours
Holcim (US) Inc., Denver, Colo. – 5,00 to 9000 employee hours
Holcim (US) Inc., Memphis, Tenn.– 5000 to 9,000 employee hours
Buzzi Unicem (US) Inc., Nashville, Tenn.– More than 9000 employee hours
Lehigh Cement Company, Port Everglades, Fla. – More than 9000 employee hours
Titan America LLC, Newark, N.J. – More than 9000 employee hours

In a separate category for Canadian terminals, Lafarge North America Inc. in Whitefish River, Ontario, was honoured.
