Carpatcement receives grant for expansion project, Romania
Carpatcement, the Romanian subsidiary of HeidelbergCement, received non-returnable grants of RON6.3m(€1.5m) to boost cement production capacity at its manufacturing plant in Bicaz.
The amount is part of a broader assistance program of RON16.5m(€4 million) that will be implemented during March 3, 2010 – May 11, 2011 at Carpatcement Holding, Bicaz subsidiary – Tasca facility.
The project receives funding from European Regional Development Fund through the Operational Programme “Improvement of the Economic Competitiveness”.
Heidelberg holds three cement production units in Romania, in Bicaz, Fieni and Deva.
