Vietnam to see 13 new operations go on line this year

The Ministry of Construction and the Vietnam Cement Association have announced that an additional of 13 cement production lines, with a designed capacity of 11.7Mt will be completed in 2010. 

When these production lines are put into operation, the cement industry will have a total capacity of nearly 70Mta.

However, the cement supply will be redundant in the following years as consumer demand is expected to increase by 10-15 per cent this year.
