Lafarge North America’s Asphalt and Paving operations recently received five prestigious awards from the National Asphalt Pavement Association, in recognition of their responsible business practices and their strong community relations efforts.

Lafarge’s Greeley Asphalt Plant, its Metro Denver’s Specification Aggregate Plant, the Colorado Springs Asphalt Plant, the Wichita Asphalt Plant in Kansas and Lafarge’s Osuna Asphalt Plant in New Mexico all earned NAPA’s highest award, receiving the 2009 National Diamond Achievement Commendation for Excellence in Hot-Mix Asphalt Plant/Site Operations.

According to NAPA, "earning the Commendation exemplifies the commitment to excellence in all aspects of HMA [Hot Mix Asphalt] facilities, and symbolizes continuous improvement in operations and community relations."
