Holcim plan to downsize workers at Almeria plant, Spain

Holcim has presented a temporary downsizing plan for 34%, or 40 employees, at the company’s cement plant in Carboneras, the province of Almeria, southeastern Spain, the company’s sustainable development director for Spain, Manuel Soriano informed today Europa Press.

Soriano explained the staff-cutting measure, which will last six months, with the flagging demand.

Almeria’s plant currently employs a total 116 workers.
