Listed cement manufacturer Holcim Philippines, Inc. will supply to several infrastructure projects in Northern Luzon and Mindanao, an executive said. Eduardo A. Sahagun, senior vice-president for sales and marketing and distribution of Holcim, told reporters the company is wrapping up negotiations in connection with the North Luzon Railways Corp.’s 80.2-kilometer railway project.

The company is also in talks with the China National Machinery and Equipment Corp., which will implement the project. Mr. Sahagun said the Holcim will likewise supply cement to the South Metro Manila Skyway project, which will cost P10bn. Mr. Sahagun said the two projects would need five million bags of cement until 2010. Holcim recorded strong sales in Mindanao this year as the government continues to implement infrastructure projects there, he said.
