15 October 2009

FLSmidth has signed a contract worth approximately 130m euros (DKK 970m) with the Libyan company Al Hadena National Company to supply equipment and design of buildings and structures for a cement plant with a capacity of 4,600tpd. The plant will be located close to the town of Nalout some 280km southwest of Libya’s capital Tripoli. The plant will be the first cement plant project for the newly established Al Hadena National Company.

The contract comprises supplies of an EV crusher, an LHO stacker reclaimer, an ATOX raw mill, a complete pyro line with SF Cross-bar cooler, two UMS cement mills, four CFS cement silos and a complete packing plant. FLSmidth is also to supply all the electrical and control equipment as well as laboratory equipment.

"Libya is continuously developing its infrastructure, and with this recent contract we are proud to have provided the nation’s three latest cement plants that are supporting this development," Group CEO Jørgen Huno Rasmussen comments.

The order will contribute beneficially to FLSmidth’s earnings until the plant is commissioned during 2011.
