Holcim gets contract to supply cement for Gorgon Project, Australia
Holcim Ltd which last week completed the acquisition of Cemex’ Australian operations, has received a contract to supply 300,000t of cement to the Gorgon gas project, the Australian Financial Review reported on its Web site Friday, citing Holcim’s chief executive officer, Markus Akermann.
Analysts believe the tender, which may have attracted bids from companies such as Boral and BGC, is worth up to $130 million.
