Vicem sells 10.94Mt of cement, clinker in Jan-Aug
Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem) sold 10.94Mt of cement and clinker in the first eight months of this year, fulfilling 60.4% of its full-target, the corporation said on its website.
Of the sum, 10.82Mt were cement and 123,000t of clinker, meeting 61% and 32.4% of its full-year targets, respectively.
Vicem said that with the sales it held 37% of the domestic market share during the period.
The corporation produced 6.16Mt of clinker and 10.73Mt of cement during the time, representing 59.8% and 60.4% of the whole-year targets.
In August, Vicem’s total cement and clinker production output was 1.5Mt and 753,000t, up 34.5% and down 1.7% from a year earlier, respectively.
The corporation posted total cement and clinker sales of 1.44Mt in August, up 28.4% on-year, it added.
