Camargo Correa Cimentos and Votorantim Cimentos have announced plans to invest US$100m to set up a cement plant at Villa hayers, in the outskirts of Asuncion, Paraguay. This would be the largest investment underway in Paraguay this year and account for 25 per cent of Brazilian investments so far in 2009. The cement plant, with capacity of 400,000tpa should start operations by end 2011.
