Brazilian logistics giant América Latina Logística (ALL) and Cimpor have signed a contract for the transport of cement clinker. The contract foresees a R$6 million by Cimpor in the renovation of a transshipment terminal and in the reconstruction of a railway line between the cities of Candiota and Nova Santa Rita, in Rio Grande do Sul state.

ALL’s industrial products Manager Sérgio Nahuz said that the service will begin in July and that 15,000t of clinker will be transported a month.

After leaving the Candiota plant the cement clinker will be taken along 21 kilometers of highway to the Engenheiro Guimarães terminal, where it will be transferred to ALL’s trains. From there it will be taken to the city of Nova Santa Rita, where it will be processed at Cimpor’s plant.
