St. Lawrence Cement changes name to Holcim (Canada) Inc
St Lawrence Cement says it is changing its name to Holcim (Canada) Inc as part of the launch of the Holcim Group brand in Canada.
"Holcim is a leading global brand in the building materials industry, recognised for long term financial performance and leadership in environment, corporate social responsibility and sustainable construction," said Paul Ostrander, president and CEO of Holcim (Canada) Inc. at an employee launch event Wednesday.
"This change is an important opportunity to implement a new strategy to build awareness for our brand and what it stands for as well as to align the look and feel of our aggregates, ready-mix concrete and construction businesses with our corporate brand to better demonstrate the strength and scope of our company".
