Farmers in Himachal Pradesh are strongly opposed to a new cement plant being proposed for the Chambi village in Sundernagar subdivistion of Mandi district. A delegation of farmers headed by Mr Parashar met Chief Minster Prem Kumar Dhumal and urged him to intervene in the matter.

’’The project would render thousands of families landless and adversely affect the environment of the area beside big chunk of the fertile agriculture land would be use in the cement plant,’’ said Kissan Vikas and Kalyan Samiti president Dharam Singh Parashar.
