Cement factories firms up sale
18 February 2009

Jordan Lafarge Cement Factories Company (JCFC) generated JD49.3m profit in 2008, about the same level it posted in the previous year.

The company said in a statement that despite a four per cent drop in demand on cement due to lower construction activities and housing projects, the company upped its sales by 24.4 per cent to JD321m. However, the company’s profit remained even as a result of costly fuel prices and electricity charges as well as high inflation rates.
