Burnpur board approves unification of two phases at Patratu

Burnpur Cement has announced that the board of directors has given ’in principal approval’ for combining the phase I and phase II of the project at Patratu, in the meeting held on Jan. 10, 2009, considering the market potential, specially in eastern part of the country and for other technical reasons.

The approval for combining the phase I and phase II of the project at Patratu is subject to availability of fund to finance the enhanced cost of the project and the combined capacity of cement grinding plant will be 1600tpd.

It was also decided to analyze the new proposal at length after getting the cost-economy benefit analysis report and time ratio and subject to the approval of the same by the banks/financial institutions.
