Sinoma inaugurates new dry-process cement plant in Gansu

China National Materials Group Corp (Sinoma), the largest cement-making equipment producer in the country, started construction of a new dry-process cement plant in Baiyin, Gansu province on Dec. 29, sources reported.

The Baiyin project, involving investment of around RMB 600m (US$87.61m) in total, is expected to produce 4,500tpd of cement and 2Mt of cement a year. 

Upon completion of the project, 900,000 tons of industrial residues including pulverized fuel ash, copper ore slag and hydrofluoric acid residue will be consumed, according to Yu Shiliang, president of China National Materials Co Ltd, Sinoma’s listed subsidiary.

Reportedly, Sinoma also inaugurated another two dry-process cement production lines, which have daily output of 2,500 tons each, in Tianshui city of Gansu province on Dec. 28.
