HeidelbergCement Ukraine plans US$15m capital investments

HeidelbergCement Ukraine plans to direct UAH 104.5m (US$ 15.3m) of capital investments into its organic development for full year 2008, up from UAH40.3m a year earlier, company representative said today.

HeidelbergCement Ukraine will invest UAH 55m of the total in its Novoamvrosievsky cement plant, another UAH40m will go for the development of the Krivorozhsky plant and UAH 10m will be allocated to the cement factory in Dniprodzerzhynsk.

The company’s investment programme envisages capital investments of UAH127.527m in 2009 and another UAH325.6m in 2010.

HeidelbergCement Ukraine will channel the bulk of the funds into reducing energy consumption and into installing an environmentally friendly equipment at the facilities by 2010.
