Egypt launches cement projects in North Sinai

Egyptian PM, Ahmed Nazif has inaugurated cement projects in North Sinai governorate, Middle East News agency reported. Nazif inaugurated the second production line for Sinai Cement Company for a total cost of EGP1bn and a capacity of 5.1Mta raising the total production capacity for the company to 9.2Mta.

The PM also inaugurated a whitecement factory for a total capacity of 410,000tpa, and another factory for cement packing.

The Egyptian government is undertaking several steps to help support the cement industry and encourage investments.
