Inekon to build cement works worth CZK 4.7bn in Egypt

Czech company Inekon Group, exporting complete plants, industrial equipment and railway vehicles, will build cement works worth about Kc4.7bn in Egypt under a contract signed on Wednesday, the
company told CTK in a press release Thursday.

Inekon Group has won a tender put up by North Sinai Cement Company at the beginning of this year.

The cement works near ¨Cairo is to be put into operation in 2011, with planned output of 1.6Mt of cement a year.

Project documentation is to be drafted by the company PSG International based in Zlin, south Moravia, which will also supervise the construction work in Egypt that is to be performed by selected local construction
companies.

Engineering equipment is to be produced by the engineering company PSP Engineering based in Prerov, north Moravia.
