Birla to set up 3Mt in Madhya Pradesh
Birla Corporation Limited has announced plans to set up a US$300m, 3Mta greenfield cement plant in Satna, Madhya Pradesh. The new capacity will bring the company’s total cement production to 10.5Mta. The plant will be set up near the company’s existing plant in Satna and is expected to be commissioned by 2010-11.
