Vietnam: Binh Phuoc begins plant work

The southern province of Binh Phuoc has started work on the An Phu cement plant, with a total investment of VND4.6 trillion (US$278.8m).
 
Located in Binh Long District, the plant will have a designed capacity of 5,000 tonnes of linker per day, and 2Mta of cement.
 
Scheduled to come into operation in early 2011, An Phu plans to provide 2Mt of cement for the southern region’s market per year, while creating more than 400 jobs for provincial workers.
