Congo to get second cement factory

The South Korean company, Eco Cement, plans to invest CFA51bn in the construction of a second cement factory in Madingou, in the department of Bouenza, in Southern Congo, official sources told local press.

It is expected that the Congolese head of state, Denis Sassou Nguesso, will formally launch the construction of the factory by the end this month.

The new cement factory, to be built under a Build, Operate and Own model, is expected to produce 500tpd of different types of cement.
