Polysius wins new order from Vietnam
01 July 2008

At the end of the 1970s Polysius supplied the first plant to Hatien 2, who have been producing cement for decades now at their location at the southernmost tip of Vietnam near the border with Cambodia. The constantly rising demand for cement, particularly in the south of Vietnam has now prompted the decision to again expand the factory’s capacity.

Having already supplied a coal grinding plant to Hatien 2 in 2005, Polysius was again able to overcome strong competition and was awarded the contract for the new clinker production line.

The scope of supply for the plant, which is scheduled to commence operation at the end of 2010, includes a 320tph roller mill for raw material grinding and a 20,000t tangential blending silo. The order also includes kiln system consisting of a five-stage DOPOL® `90 preheater with PREPOL®-CC calciner, POLRO® rotary kiln, REPOL® cooler. A 40,000t clinker silo is also included in the order plus a 30tph roller mill for coal grinding, as well as an SNCR system.

Polysius is also supplying extensive technical documentation and providing personnel for supervision of the field assembly and commissioning of the plant.
