Cement factory to be set up in Mukalla, Yemen

The Mukalla cement company will launch next May the first construction works of a cement plant at a cost of $140m.

General-director of the company Ali Ahmad Sulayman said that the factory’s annual production capacity would reach 500t in 2009, noting that the factory would provide 180 jobs.

Sulayman added that the production capability of the second stage would reach 1000 tons, providing more than 250 jobs opportunities.
