Vietnamese investor interested in cement plant

Vietnamese Lilama Company will apply for an investment in the hydropower development and building a cement factory with the capacity for production of 1Mta in the Lao PDR.  
 
This statement was said by Mr. Phan Houng, President of Lilama Company during his courtesy visit to Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh on 1 April.  
 
At the talks, PM Bouasone expressed congratulations and welcomed the proposal of Lilama Company. He said that the Lao government will provide well co-operation and facilities to the company in order to ensure the company investment accordance with the rule and law on investment of Laos.  
 
He also suggested the Lilama company to write detailed proposal to the Lao government. 
 
The Lao government has admitted a number of projects to the Vietnamese companies including the hydropower projects and small scale development projects. In the early of this month, the government of Laos has approved the Hydropower project of Sekaman I, Nam Ngum 4A, 4B and hydropower project of Namsam to the Vietnamese investors.Lilama company has been established for more than 45 years with an experiences on production of cement, steel and hydropower sector.
