New plant becomes operational in Yen Bai, Vietnam
The Yen Bai Minerals and Cement Joint Stock Company has launched the operation of its cement plant after two years of construction.
The dry-process plant has a capacity of 350,000tpa of cement and construction costs were around VND260bn.
The plant is expected to bring about VND200bn in revenue annually and contribute VND12bn to the State budget, creating jobs for 400 workers working for the factory as well as thousands of other workers working in other sections of materials exploitation, transport and consumption.
This is the second rotary furnace cement company in Yen Bai, bringing the total cement capacity produced in the region to 1.3Mta.
Yen Bai currently has the highest cement production capacity in the north-western region.
