Vicat chairman passes on the baton

The family-owned French cement group Vicat announced at its annual results presentation yesterday that its CEO, Jacques Merceron-Vicat, would give up all operational control of the firm at the age of 70, but would stay on as non-executive chairman of the board of directors.  
 
The job of chief executive officer will go to Mr Merceron-Vicat’s son-in-law, Guy Sidos.
