Cement plant breaks ground in Phu Tho

Construction has begun on a VND900 billion (US$56.25m) new cement plant in the northern mid-land province of Phu Tho.

The Huu Nghi II Cement Plant has a capacity of close to one million tonnes per year and is expected to be operational for 49 years, beginning at the end of this year. The new cement plant is located close to a large unexplored quarry which is accessible by both motorways and waterways. - VNS
