Italcementi says Kuwait unit to buy two mid-size concrete companies
Italcementi SpA said its Kuwait unit Hilal Cement is set to conclude the acquisition next week of two mid-sized concrete manufacturers in Kuwait.
The company gave no details on the value of the operation.
Italcementi also said that the group is examining further "opportunities" in the Mediterranean area as well as in countries where it is not yet present.
The group said it is also looking at opportunities in regions where it does have a presence, such as Albania and Turkey.
With special regard to its Turkish subsidiary Set, Italcementi said it will be assessing all possible options both industrially, through new direct investment or joint investment with other partners, and financially, through joint venture or sales of minority-majority stakes in the controlled companies.
