Turkish Akcansa Posts $136.5 Mln Net Profit Jan-Sept 2007
Turkish cement producer Akcansa posted a net profit of 165 mln Turkish lira (US$136.5m) in the first nine months of 2007.
Akcansa registered a net profit of 133.7 mln lira ($110.6 mln/75.8 mln euro) in the same period of 2006
The pre-tax profit of the company stood at 192 mln lira ($158.8 mln/108.8 mln euro) in the nine months of 2007.
Akcansa boosted its sales by 25.6 per cent YoY to 53m lira (US$445m).
The company added it was planning to launch its Canakkale plant, northwestern Turkey, by the end of 2007.
