Benue Releases N15m for cement factory

In a bid to ensure the realization of inherited on -going projects in the state, Benue State Government has released the sum of N15 million to the management of Igumale Cement Factory to ensure resumption of work at the site.  
 
The Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Mr. Ben Meladu who disclosed this to news men in Makurdi, further explained that the amount is meant for shipping and clearing of equipments for the company among other procedures that are necessary for the actualization of the project.  
 
He maintained that although some buildings were erected and some machineries installed at the site, work was suspended since the inception of Hon. Gabriel Suswam’s led administration. 
 
Mr. Maladu who disclosed that government has also paid N18 million to the contractor handling the Tomato and mango juice factory, Annune to enable them return to site, further added that consultations have reach advance stage to revive Otukpo Burnt Bricks Company.
