Cemex to double Panamanian plant’s production
09 October 2007

Cemex has begun the expansion of its new plant in Panama - it aims to double production (to reach 2.4Mta of cement) via the investment of US$270m as the Panamanian construction trade enjoys an unprecedented boom. The cement and construction-materials group will install a clinker oven and a mill at the plant in Bayano, 50km north of Panama City, explains  Cemex’s director in Panama, Felipe Zambrano. The Mexican firm has had a presence in Panama since 1994.  Published under Cement News
