Romania 1H cement output up
Romania’s cement output exceeded 4Mt in the first half of the year, up 30%
on year, boosted by favourable weather and unfolding contracts, the Ownership
of Cement Producers, or CIROM, said Tuesday.
The raise was double compared to the initial forecasts, and CIROM expects
cement output will reach some 10Mt by year-end, CIROM executive
manager Ion Crangasu said. Romania’s cement output reached 7Mt in 2006.
