Ultratech Cement operations at Kovaya stopped due to flood
Ultratech Cement Ltd has announced that Heavy rains in the Amreli district of Gujarat have resulted in floods in the area. As a result, operations at the Company’s cement plant (Gujarat Cement Works) situated at Kovaya in Amreli has been stopped since September 25, 2007.
The Company is assessing the losses, if any. However, the plant is adequately covered under insurance. Published under Cement News
