CNBM contracted for first cement production Line in Saudi Arabia
The Najran cement clinker production line contracted by China National Building Material Group Corporation (CNBM) in Saudi Arabia recently went into trial operation, according to the latest information from the Economic & Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Hefei Research & Design Institute under CNBM was in charge of constructing the production line. The line has a daily designed production capacity of 6,000t of cement clinker. The contract for the project was signed in July 2005 and construction started in December 2005 with a total investment of US$ 140M. This is the first large building materials EPC project contracted by CNBM in Saudi Arabia.
