SCCC posts operating results for 2nd Quarter 2007

The consolidated interim financial statements of Siam City Cement Public Company Ltd and subsidiaries for the 2nd quarter periods ended June 30, 2007 and 2006 with a summary of its operating result are as follows:

The consolidated net sales and total revenues of the Company were THB 5,605 million and THB 5,741 million for the 2nd quarter 2007 compared to THB 5,900 million and THB 5,998 million in the 2nd quarter 2006. This is a decrease of 5% and 4.3%, respectively, and mainly due to lower sales in cement segment.

The consolidated expenses of the Company showed cost of sales of THB 3,970 million for the 2nd quarter 2007 compared to THB 4,021 million, and decreased by THB 51 million or 1.3% from the same period of 2006. This is mainly a result of lower sales.

Consolidated net income of the Company was THB 945 million (earnings per share of THB 4.11) for the 2nd quarter 2007 compared to THB 1,039 million (earnings per share of THB 4.38) in the 2nd quarter 2006.
