An agreement for the start a pilot project ‘D’ to address the application of the utilisation of alternative fuels at Garadagh Cement has been reached. The discussions took place at a meeting between head of Investments and Industrial Facilities’ Reconstruction at Azerbaijan’s Energy and Industries Ministry Ramiz Rzayev chief executives for Holcim, Garadagh Cement’s major shareholder, according to a statement from the ministry.
The focus of the Holcim delegation during the visit was to discuss technology designed for the use of alternative fuel types their possible introduction in Azerbaijan.
