Bolivian cement manufacturer Sociedad Boliviana de Cemento (Soboce) announced that it plans to invest US$40m by 2008 in the expansion of production.

With increased production, Soboce would export to Brazil, Chile, Peru and y Venezuela. From 2005 and 2006, Soboce increased thirteen percent and the expectation for this year is that it will increase 20 per cent. Also, Soboce added that by early September it will open a new cement plant in Viacha.
