Steppe Cement said it expects its cement sales for the six month period to June 30 will be approximately 380,000t  for total revenue of $36m.

This compares with 365,443t for total revenue of $28.6m for the six month period ended June 30, 2006.

The company said prices for cement appear to be set to continue to strengthen through the summer months as demand typically rises during this time of the year.

It added all four of the company’s wet lines have been fully operational since April 2007 and production levels are now stable at 72,000t of cement per month. The refurbishment of the company’s dry lines continues to advance consistent with previous market announcements.
