Turkey’s Oyak Cement Group said it registered a net profit of TRY79.7m (US$60.4m) in the first quarter of 2007.
The group, which includes listed companies Adana Cimento, Bolu Cimento, Unye Cimento and Mardin Cimento, said first-quarter sales rose by 40 per cent on the year to TRY150.2m (US$113.75m). Profit margin reached 53.1 per cent.
Oyak Cement Group has a production capacity of 7Mt clinker and 12Mt cement. The company leads in the sector with 14 per cent market share since 2005. Published under Cement News
