Ukraine’s cement output grew 30.2 per cent YoY to 3.867Mt in the first four months of 2007, data of the State Statistics Committee showed.
In April alone, the country produced 1.371Mt of cement, up 14.3 per cent YoY and 30.2 per cent month-on-month.
The country’s overall cement production rose 30 per cent on the year to 30.857Mt for January to April 2007, according to estimates of local cement producers’ association Ukrcement.
In 2006 Ukraine’s cement output went up 12.9 per cent YoY to 13.732Mt, the State Statistics Committee said.
Currently there are more than 15 cement producers, with a total annual capacity of over 20Mt.
