Heidelbergcement to build plant in Tula region

A cooperation agreement which had been signed between the Russian Tula region authority and Heidelbergcement at Tula’s first economic forum November last year, now sees the foundation stone ceremony taking place of the new cement plant Tulacement in settlement Novogurovskiy, Aleksinskiy district, with Heidelbergcement as the project’s main investor.

On the first phase it is planned to make 2Mta of cement. On the second phase, cement production could increase to 4Mta. It is planned that the first phase of construction will be complete by 2009.
