Chinese Sinoma to build US$250m cement factory in Yemen

Officials at China-based Sinoma International announced that the company has signed an agreement with a private Yemeni-Saudi firm to build a US$250m cement plant in Yemen, Gulf News reported.


The officials pointed out that the plant, which will have a production capacity of 1.6Mta, will be managed by the Yemeni-Saudi Cement Co. They added that the construction works at the project are due for completion within 25 months starting from the agreement signing.
