In 2007 Mika Cement company is planning to increase its output by 1.5 times, says the director general of the company Naira Martirossyan.  
 
She says that in late Apr the plant will resume intensive work. 60% of the plant’s production is sold inside Armenia, 40% is exported to Georgia and Iran. Now that the Port Kavkaz-Poti train ferry has been launched the company will start searching for ways to export its cement to Europe - where the estimated demand for it is 150,000t. Presently, the company employs 900 people paying them an average of 75,000 AMD a month.
